Abstract:The firstpalladium-catalyzeddirectarylation of2-pyridylmethylsilaneswith aryl bromides to generate a diverse array ofaryl(pyridyl)-methylsilane derivativeshas been developed. This protocol facilitates access tovarious kinds ofheterocycle-containingsilanes in good to excellent yields (40examples,66−97% yield) withgoodfunctional group tolerance. The scalability of this transformation is demonstrated.
