Abstract:Anorganic photoredox-catalyzed dehydroxylative trifluoromethylation of allylic alcohols was developedin anenvironmentally benignmanner. In this reaction, the readily available CF3SO2Na was selected as the trifluoromethylative reagent. Thein situgenerated byproduct SO2was reutilizedto activate C-OH bond, which enabled thisdehydroxylativetrifluoromethylationto beperformedconveniently. A variety of multi-functionalizedCF3-allylic compounds were obtainedin highyields andexcellent stereoselectivity.
