Faculty Recruitment Guidelines
1.General Policies
(1)Customized policies:Recruitment policies are tailored for each schools of our university and personalized for each candidate qualified for the first and second level scholars programs.
(2) Flexible options:Academics can join in our faculty as a team or an individual with full-time or part-time contracts . Candidates of the third and fourth level scholars programs or those with part-time contracts are required to join an existing team of our university to facilitate integration and boost collaboration.
(3) Integrated development:We have devoted our efforts to build integrated innovative teams with members specialized in fundamental or applied research as well as the commercialization of research results, and also members excel at teaching or scientific research.
(4) Effective evaluation:We have established a faculty evaluation system that combines both basic criteria and quality criteria, abiding by the professional development patterns. (5) Diverse careers:We promote diversified professional development paths, whether in teaching, scientific research or social services, according to the features of academic subjects and the preference of a faculty.
2.Benefits and Perks
(1) Children’s education:Children of our staff members can attend the Experimental Primary School of Nanjing Tech University, which is a public and provincial-level experimental primary school.
(2) Salary structure:Our university offers different type of wages such as annually-paid salary, flexible salary based on the work load and the production, as well as negotiated wages.
(3) Family housing:A settling-in allowance is provided together with public rental housing guaranteed for five years or on-campus apartment reserved for faculty members.

Scholars Programs of Nanjing Tech University
1.First Level Scholars
(1)Tier A scholars include winners of the Nobel Prize, the Fields Medal, the Pulitzer Prizes, the Japan Prize and other international well-known awards, academicians of national academies, deans or higher academic administrator of famous universities. Generally, scholars in this category should be under the age of 65.
(2)Tier B scholars include professors from famous universities, principal directors of national research platforms, winners of national science awards, or leading scholars with equivalent talents. Generally, scholars in this category should be under the age of 55.
2.Second Level Scholars
(1)Tier A scholars include professors, associate professors, principal investigators of national projects, first authors or corresponding authors of articles published in top journals like Nature and Science, and other outstanding scholars with equivalent achievements. Generally, scholars in this category should be under the age of 50.
(2)Tier B scholars include assistant professors who have obtained tenure in famous universities, and other outstanding scholars with equivalent achievements. Generally, talents in this category should be under the age of 45.
(3)Tier C scholars are young academics with outstanding scientific achievements. They are expected to be admitted to the scholars programs or research projects that required by the Tier A and Tier B of second level scholars within the period of employment. Generally, they should be under the age of 38.
3.Third Level Scholars
Third level scholars mainly refer to those who have obtained their doctoral degree from well-known universities and institutions and have two or more years of experience in teaching and scientific research in well-known academic institutions, as well as strong capacity to innovate and great potential. They should be under the age of 35. -

(2) Hold a Ph.D. degree and have overseas working experience of scientific research for at least three years;
(3) Have an extraordinary academic achievement, being the top talent among researchers of the same area and age and have a potential to become a leading talent;
(4) Work at Nanjing Tech University for at least three years after employment.(1) Enjoy national living allowance of 500,000 yuan and research funds ranging from 2,000,000 to 3,000,000 yuan;
(2) Receive remuneration in accordance with talent introduction stipulations of Nanjing Tech University ( level 2A);
(3) Receive prioritized recommendation to apply for other national talent schemes.Jiangsu Provincial Program of Important Talent Introduction
January to March each year
Overseas talents under 45, preparing to work full time after employment or those having worked at Nanjing Tech University for less than three years.
(1) Required field of research: natural science or social science;
(2) Hold a Ph.D. degree and have full-time overseas working experience of scientific research for at least two years;
(3) Have an extraordinary academic achievement, being the top talent among researchers of the same area and age and have a potential to become a leading talent;
(4) Work full time at Nanjing Tech University for at least three years after employment.(1) Enjoy national living allowance of 360,000 yuan and research funds ranging from 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 yuan (2,000,000 to 4,000,000 for special aid);
(2) Receive remuneration in accordance with talent introduction stipulations of Nanjing Tech University ( level 2B);
(3) Receive prioritized recommendation to apply for other national talent schemes.
