Cultural Event with the theme of celebrating Chinese Spring Festival was held in University of Zaragoza Confucius Institute on February 15th. UZ Vice-rector Francisco Beltrán, Prof. Cui Yuwen and Prof. Rafael de Miguel, Co-heads of UZ CI and representatives of Aragon Chinese Association attended the event.

Vice-rector Francisco Beltrán said in his opening remarks that Confucius Institute is the bridge connecting two nations and this event would help promote mutual understanding and friendship between Spanish and Chinese people.

The event was featured by six themes including Chinese Tea, Calligraphy, Chinese Knot, Paper-cutting, Lantern and Chinese Food. Various cultural activities attracted more than 300 local people of different ages who were deeply fascinated by the charming Chinese culture. This was the first cultural event ever held in Zaragoza and aroused great interest of local people and was widely reported by the local media.
