The delegation of West Virginia University, headed by Prof. William Brustein, Vice President for Global Strategies and International Affairs visited Nanjing Tech University on October 24, 2018 and held discussions with NanjingTech delegates from Office of Global Engagement, Office of Teaching Affairs, Graduate School and School of Civil Engineering to explore education and research collaborations.

Prof. Liu Weiqing, in his speech, first welcomed Prof. William Brustein's visit and said that his research team's collaboration with West Virginia University in composite structure has a history of more ten years and has made remarkable achievement in faculty and student exchange and joint training of post-graduate. He hoped that the two universities could combine their strengths and promote the cooperation to a higher level.

Prof. William Brustein, in his speech, introduced the research and education strengths of West Virginia University in engineering, health care and energy sciences and he said that WVU values the cooperation with Chinese universities and has set up special office in China to promote partnerships with Chinese universities. He hoped that his visit could deepen the collaboration with Nanjing Tech University.

During the meeting, delegates from both universities have also agreed to expand collaboration to more possible areas and explore various student programs.
