On Oct.14-15, International Academic Seminar on Earthquake Disaster Mitigation was held in NJUT. Over 50 experts and scholars from Japan, Mainland China and Taiwan attended the seminar, exchanging the latest researches on earthquake engineering structure control. The International Academic Seminar, as an important part of the annual meeting of the Nanjing Institute of Technology, was co-sponsored by the College of Civil Engineering of NJUT and Nanjing Institute of Earthquake.
There were 11 keynote speakers: Professor Norio INOUE from Tohoku University, Japan, professor Kawamata Shigeya from Tohoku Institute of Technology, Dr. Takenaka Yasuo, Dr. Lgarashi Katsuya from KAJIMA CORPORATION, professor Wang Yanbo from National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), professor Wan Yayong, the director of Earthquake Research Institute of China Academy of Build Research, and Profs. Zai Jinmin, Suan Weimin, Liu Weiqing, Chen Guoxing, and Li Hongjing from NJUT.
