On May 16, SIFE 2008 National Final Competition was held in Shanghai Worldfield Convention Hotel. SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise), nicknamed asThe Olympic in the Social Practice of College Students, aims to improve the lives of people worldwide by contributing SIFE participants’ talents to projects, demonstrating that individuals with a knowledge and passion for business can be a powerful force for change. 32 universities competed in the National Finals, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Nanjing University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Beijing Foreign Languages University, Hong Kong University, Zhongshan University and Harbin Institute of Technology, etc. These high-level teams, standing out among 73 teams in the previous rounds of competitions, fiercely competed for the access to the SIFE World Cup 2008 in Singapore. The SIFE team from NJUT withstood the pressure to beat the rivals from Tsinghua University and Zhejiang University, gaining runner-up of the national competition in Grand China area. All the 40 judges are presidents, CEOs, senior managers or entrepreneurs from famous multi-national corporations in China.
