On Oct. 2010, NJUT and Nagoya Sangyo University became sister universities, and the signing ceremony is held on the Dingjiaqiao campus of NJUT on the morning of Oct.18.
Headed by Prof. Tatsuo Ito, the President of Nagoya Sangyo University, the 5-member delegation visited NJUT at 8:20. Professor OUYANG Pingkai, President of NJUT, leaders relevant of NJUT, and about a hundred student greeted them. In the reception room, the two presidents introduced the sizes and major fields of their universities respectively, discussed preliminary fields and research topics of cooperation in running universities, and signed an agreement on sister universities. Then the delegation visited the key laboratory of National Engineering Research Center for Biotechnology.
President Tatsuo Ito gives a brilliant lecture named "Japanese Universities" to graduates at the Library Lecture Hall at 10:40. After the lecture, president OUYANG Pingkai awarded the certificate of honorary professor to Tatsuo Ito.
