Recently, NJUT and Nanjing High-tech Zone signedtheHundred Talents Project: the 'Three Innovation' Carrier--leading talents at home and abroad. On the ceremony, the eight leading talents signed a contract with Nanjing High-tech Zone to join the 'Three Innovation Carrier', officially launched the "Hundred Talents project: the 'three innovation' carrier." They, with an average age of less than 39, respectively studied at top university in developed countries, got PhD , and experienced successful business in the world's cutting-edge technology, are mainly exercising in bio-medicine, electronic information and new materials.

During the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" period, closely following the national and provincial strategic industry needs and implementing the advantages of discipline construction project as an opportunity, NJUT continuously improve the research capability of independent innovation, and co-found the Hundred Talents Project: the 'three innovation' carrier --leading talents at home and abroad with Nanjing High-tech Zone to give full play to advantages of NJUT's scientific research, talents and resources and boost the regional economic upgrading and restructuring by directly integrating innovations with market resources and demands. "Innovation in the university, entrepreneurs in high-tech areas, and excellence promotes development", the so-called "there innovation", whose core lies in top talents. In the last four years after the projects, NJUT made great progress by introducing 39 leading talents from abroad and cultivating 29 entrepreneurs in science and technology, 6 of whom entered the national "Thousand Talents Plan" and 15 of whom selected as "High-level Creative Talents Plan" of Jiangsu Province. To better foster the plan and promote our successful experience, NJUT, supported by the combining administration, industry, education, research with funds, plans to introduce more than 60 leading talents at home and abroad, let them redistribute resources of economy, science and technology, human resurgences and disciplines in the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period. NJUT strives to introduce 100 leading talents at home and abroad to achieve the Hundred Talents Project at the end period of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan".
