Gu Xiulian, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the tenth National People's Congress, Chairman of Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation, Secretary Luo Zhijun and Governor Li Xueyong visited NJUT during the celebration of NJUT 109thanniversary. Vice Chairman Gu Xiulian fully recognized the achievements of NJUT and wished a better development in the future.
Luo Zhijun, Secretary of Jiangsu Provincial Committee of CPC, visited the Exhibition of Coastal Biotechnology of the Jiangsu Provincial Institute of Marine Industry. He also visited the NJUT Research Center of Marine Biologic Resource Exploitation headed by Prof. Chen Shuangji. He fully affirmed the innovative move in the combination of industry, teaching and research, and in the development of the costal areas. He also encouraged NJUT to keep on innovating in the research work and its combination to industry.
Li Xuyong, Governor of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, visited NJUT. He confirmed the contributions NJUT has made in teaching and education, scientific research, industrialization, national and regional development since the merging (NJUT 2001). He also recognized the excellent environment of NJUT for the innovation, characteristic running system and mechanism. He extended congratulation to the NJUT 109thanniversary.
