In the afternoon of July 4th, Luo Zhijun, Secretary of Jiangsu Provincial Committee of CPC, accompanied byWang Deming, Secretary of NJUT Committee of CPC, Qiao Xu, NJUT vice president and experts from College of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, visited Jiangsu Marine Industry Research Institute co-founded by NJUT and Dafeng City. Secretary Luo Zhijun visited the Coastal Biotechnology Exhibition Hall and fully recognized the research achievements of the Institute in five major fields of marine biological medicine, food, energy, chemistry and materials. He listened carefully to introduction of research progress and industrialization of some projects such as micro algae oil refining and efficient bio-gas using, rice grass refining process carried out by NJUT. Then he visited NJUT’s Offshore Biological Resources R&D Center headed by Professor Chen Jishuang. He exchanged ideas with researchers and was interested to learn about the latest research achievements and industrialization progress. During the visit, the other leaders also fully recognized NJUT's contributions to the local economic development by setting up innovative enterprises in Dafeng City.
