Mr. Shen Jian, Director-General of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education met with Professor Donal Bradley, Fellow of Royal Society and Vice-Provost of Imperial College London on 15thOct. Both sides exchanged views on collaborative construction of Joint Research Center of Plastic Electronics between Nanjing Tech University and Imperial College London as well as ICL's possible cooperation with other universities in Jiangsu Province.
Mr. Shen extended warm welcome to Prof. Donal Bradley and made a brief introduction of higher education in Jiangsu, in particular, Jiangsu's international education exchange with overseas universities.He pointed out that ICL was a renowned institution of higher learning with a long history and top ranking in the world. Jiangsu Province laid special emphasis on the internationalization of education and had more than 320 collaborative educational programs with various universities throughout the world. He believed that ICL's cooperation with Nanjing Tech University would promote the development of Jiangsu Higher Education.
Professor Donal Bradley expressed his gratitude for Mr. Shen's warm reception and said that ICL was very cautious in choosing international partners and the cooperation with Nanjing Tech University proved to be correct. The research of organic electronics and some other areas in Nanjing Tech University was of top level in the world. He would promote ICL's in-depth cooperation with NanjingTech in terms of scientific research and post-graduate educational programs. With the badge of NanjingTech on him, he regarded himself as a member of Nanjing Tech University.
President Huang Wei expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the long-term guidance and support of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education. He said ICL's cooperation with NanjingTech broke new ground for NanjingTech's globalization. He firmly believed the cooperation between NanjingTech and ICL would be sure to reach a new height and the Joint Research Center of Plastic Electronics would achieve great success.
