The delegation from Kagoshima University headed by Dr. Fumio Sumiyoshi, Executive Vice President visited NanjingTech on the morning of November 15thand met with Vice-president Jiang Juncheng for discussions on the cooperation between two universities.
Vice-president Jiang Juncheng extended his warm welcome to the Japanese delegation at the beginning of the meeting and he introduced the latest development of NanjingTech in recent few years. He pointed out that two universities had a long history of cooperation and Dr. Fumio Sumiyoshi's visit would give renewed impetus to the exchange and cooperation between two universities. He believed that the joint efforts from both universities would break new ground for the exchange and cooperation between scholars of both universities.
Dr. Fumio Sumiyoshi expressed his gratitude for the reception in his speech and introduced the research and education of Kagoshima University. He expected to expedite cooperation between two universities on the sound basis of previous joint efforts.
Both universities had in-depth discussions on many topics such as joint educational programs and research collaborations and reached consensus in many fields. The Kagoshima delegation also visited the School of foreign languages after the meeting.
