The Chinese-Russian Workshop on Laser Physics, Fundamental and Applied Photonics 2017(CRWLP-2017) was held in NanjingTech on April 22. The workshop, organized by Nanjing Tech University, Nankai University, Russian Academy of Sciences and Moscow State University, attracted over one hundred scholars from prestigious institutes both home and abroad.
This year’s workshop featured 22 key-note reports on cutting edge research fields in laser physics and photonics including organic lasers, fiber optic lasers, quantum information science, perovskite-based LED, etc.
Launched in 2010, CRWLP-2017 received funding both from theNationalNaturalScienceFoundationin China and its counterpart in Russian Federation. Ever since, this platform for experts and promising scholars from Russia and China has played a positive role in joint research and talent train between the two countries.
As a major participant of the workshop, NanjingTech has also benefited from its communication with Russian scholars. The newly established Institute of Advanced Technologies and the increasing global reach of the Institute of Advanced Materials marked productive progress in the university’s collaborative innovation.
