Overview

The School of Electrical Engineering and Control Science has five undergraduate disciplines, including the Department of Industrial Systems and Automation, the Department of Power Systems and Automation, the Department of Measurement and Control Technology and Instruments, the Department of Building Systems and Automation, the Department of Intelligent Manufacturing, and the Automation Experiment Teaching Center, Disciplinary construction office, teaching management office and other management agencies. The building area of our teaching and research buildings is about 8,000 square meters, and the fixed assets of various teaching and research equipment are worth about 25 million yuan.

The school has established the "Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Industrial Equipment Digital Manufacturing and Control Technology" (co-constructed), Jiangsu Province Green Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering Research Center, Jiangsu Province Automation Experiment Demonstration Teaching Center, and many world-renowned companies such as ROCKWELL in the United States and SIEMENS in Germany Enterprises have jointly built professional laboratories.

The school has a team of teachers with reasonable titles, educational backgrounds and age structures, and has a complete talent training system. There are 100 faculty members, including 10 professors, 53 associate senior titles, 77 full-time teachers, and 55 doctoral degree holders. There are 1,725 undergraduate students and 261 full-time master and doctoral students. It has trained Professor Qian Feng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor Su Hongye, director of the State Key Laboratory of Industrial Control Technology of Zhejiang University, Tang Ye, chairman of Baichu Electronic Technology Ltd, a listed company on the Science and Technology Innovation Board, and Wang Wang, chairman of Shanghai Deheng Data Technology Ltd. There are more than 10,000 alumni of various types represented by Bin and others.

The school has always adhered to the position of talent training at the center, with the mission of "first-class teaching, first-class innovation", and the construction of a first-class talent team, professional disciplines and institutional processes, and actively facing electrical, industrial, building and service automation, highlighting key development directions, seeking support with quality, and seeking development with contribution, the college serves national and local industrial transformation and economic development. In the past three years, it has won the second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award and the first prize of the Provincial Teaching Achievement Award, and one course has been rated as a national first-class course.

The school attaches great importance to cultivating students' innovation and entrepreneurship ability. Students have repeatedly achieved good results in various discipline competitions at the provincial and national levels. They have won the special prize of the National College Student Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Competition, the first prize of the National College Student Smart Car Competition, and the "Internet +" National College Students. The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has won many awards in competitions such as the "Challenge Cup" Entrepreneurship Plan Competition for Chinese University Students, the National University Student Mathematical Model Competition, the "Siemens Cup" China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge, the "AB Cup" National Automation System Application Competition, and the Robot Competition score. Graduates have a high-level development platform and broad development space.
