The Complutense University of Madrid Delegation Visited NanjingTech


On June 16th, Damaso Lopez Garcia, Vice President of Complutense University of Madrid, Dámaso López García and Director of the International Office (GEC Education and Culture Center), Mr. Juan Carlos Izquierdo Villaverde visited NanjingTech. Vice President Ling Xiang met with the delegation and the meeting was presided over by Nai Kang, Director of the International Cooperation Office.

At the meeting, Vice President Ling Xiang extended a sincere welcome to the delegation of the Complutense University of Madrid and introduced the school-running situation and international cooperation of NanjingTech. He said that the Complutense University of Madrid is one of the top 200 universities in the world as well as the oldest and largest university in Spain. And the development level of many disciplines of it is in the forefront of the world. He hoped that both sides would translate their consensus into actions, achieve strong alliances and complementary advantages, and further deepen cooperation in education technology on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Spain. Vice President García introduced the advantageous disciplines and international exchanges of Complutense University of Madrid. He pointed out that the two universities have great potential for cooperation in multiple disciplines, expecting both sides to adhere to achieve mutual exchanges and benefits, carry out various forms of exchange and cooperation, as well as promote the deepening and implementation of the partnership.

The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the intentions of joint training in multiple disciplines, scientific research collaboration, international cooperation of university-industry, students exchange, and mutual visits.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the School of Foreign Languages and Literature. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on the joint cultivation of Spanish talents for undergraduate and master degrees, mutual visits, joint construction and exchange of courses, as well as exchange of foreign teachers. Besides, the GEC Education and Culture Center of the Complutense University of Madrid signed a cooperation agreement with the School of Foreign Languages and Literature, which agreed to send the first batch of 5 students of NanjingTech majoring in Spanish to Spain in September this year for a one-year exchange study.
