The Chemical Design Teaching and Research Center Successfully Holds the Mid term Report Meeting of the 2022 Chemical Design Competition Works

On the morning of May 21st, the mid-term report and exchange meeting for the 2022 Chemical Engineering Design Competition, organized by the Teaching and Research Center for Chemical Engineering Design, took place in classrooms 202-207 of the Duxue A Building. The center invited experienced teachers with rich engineering practice, including Cui Qun, Wu Wenliang, Ren Xiaoqian, Liu Dinghua, Wan Hui, Gu Heping, Lin Ling, Mei Hua, and 16 young teachers as judges. Nine graduate students specializing in engineering design were present for learning and observation.

A total of 24 judges were divided into six groups to evaluate the progress of the 63 teams' projects. They provided targeted suggestions for the issues found in the projects, urging students to make efficient progress in completing their work. Deputy Dean Zhou Haoli asked questions about some projects and encouraged students to continue exploring actively, emphasizing the importance of timely communication with their mentors if issues arise.

This mid-term report not only showcased the professional knowledge and innovative abilities of the participating student teams but also demonstrated the teamwork capabilities of each participating group. At the same time, the participants gained a more comprehensive understanding of their own projects, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent design and defense phases.
