Research Interests
Our research focuses on the material design and synthesis of microporous membranes, and their applications in hydrogen purification, noble gas production and medical applications.
(1) Microporous membrane preparation: The facile synthesis of microporous membrane is the main barrer to scale-up production. In our group, we are devoted to developing new synthesis approach of zeolite membranes, metal-organic framework membranes and microporous polymeric membranes.
(2) Noble gas production: The noble gas including helium, krypton and xenon, is generally producted by cryogenic distillation. In our group, we are focusing on membrane gas separation to reduce the energy consumption.
(3) Anaesthetic medicine cycle: Breathing anesthesia is featured rapid emergence regardless of the duration of anesthesia. The exhaled air should be disposed for the anesthesic medicine removal or recycle. We are developing membrane separation technology for anaesthetic recycling in the breathing mechine by in-situ removal the harmful components.
