作为项目负责人先后承担了国家重点研发计划、国家“十二五”科技支撑计划、国家自然科学基金重点项目/面上项目、中国石化股份有限公司、江苏省科技厅、江苏省环保厅科技开发项目及企业委托科研项目60余项,在Applied Catalysis B-Environmental、ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces、Chemical Engineering Journal等期刊上发表学术论文100余篇;授权国家发明专利30余项;获中国石油和化学工业联合会技术发明一等奖、二等奖、江苏省科学技术进步二等奖、中国石油和化学工业专利奖优秀奖等。主编了《化工辞典》第五版(化学工业出版社)、《化学工程手册》(化学工业出版社)等专著。主编出版国家“十一五”、“十二五”规划教材《化工原理》;主编高等教育规划教材、卓越工程师教育培养计划系列教材《化工多学科工程设计与实例》。
人才培养方面,指导学生获第十五届“挑战杯”全国大学生课外学术科技作品竞赛特等奖、全国大学生化工安全设计大赛金奖、首届高校创新创业创造教育精品成果展二等奖、江苏省优秀毕业设计团队等。获国家教学成果一等奖2项、二等奖1项,获江苏省教学成果特等奖、一等奖和二等奖等奖项,江苏省研究生培养模式改革成果一等奖1项。
