The 6thYoung Scientists Annual Meeting of Jiangsu - Flexible Electronics and Optoelectronic Materials Sub-Forum & the 3rdNanjingTech - Nanjing University Young Scholars' Bilateral Forum
The 6thYoung Scientists Annual Meeting of Jiangsu - Flexible Electronics and Optoelectronic Materials Sub-Forum & the 3rdNanjingTech - Nanjing University Young Scholars' Bilateral Forum, co-proposed by President of Nanjing Tech and Academician Huang Wei and Academician Zhu Shining from Nanjing University, was held in Nanjing Tech University at December 7, 2016. The Forum was supported byJiangsu Association for Science and Technologyand organized by Institute of Advanced Materials (IAM), Nanjing Tech University,College of Engineering and Applied Science, Nanjing Universityand the Synergetic Innovation Center for Advanced Materials. Vice-Minister XU Jian, Academic Department of Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology, Executive Dean LU Yanqing, College of Engineering and Applied Science of Nanjing University, Vice Director Wang Jianpu, Institute of Advanced Materials of NanjingTech and other staff and students attended the Forum.
Prof. LU Yanqing from Nanjing University and Vice-Minister XU Jian from Academic Department of Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology made speeches in the opening ceremony of the Forum. Prof. LU Yanqing reminded the grand occasion of the previous young scientists annual meeting and bilateral forum. He pointed out that Institute of Advanced Materials (IAM) and College of Engineering and Applied Science, Nanjing University have made a great progress with the concern and guidance of Academician HUANG Wei and Academician ZHU Shining. Vice-Minister XU Jian expressed his gratitude to Academician HUANG Wei and Academician ZHU Shining for their strongly support tothe 6thYoung Scientists Annual Meeting of Jiangsu. In addition, he pointed out that Flexible Electronics and Optoelectronic Materials Sub-Forum was the competitive forum and ended sub-forum of the 6thYoung Scientists Annual Meeting of Jiangsu. He hoped that young scholars can balance the inheritance and innovation, condense the ideas, and produce high-quality achievements.
During the Forum, 19 young scholars from Nanjing University, Nanjing Tech University and Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications delivered their lectures in relation to efficient photothermal conversion and solar-powered seawater desalination, research on outstanding optical properties of single perovskite quantum dot, design and application of antibiosis polymer materials and so on. The young scholars exchanged the latest developments and shared the experience and lesson during their work.
In the closing ceremony, Prof. LAI Wenyong, entrusted by President and Academician HUANG Wei, made a speech. On behalf of the attended young scholars, Prof. Lai expressed his gratitude to Academician HUANG Wei and Academician ZHU Shining for their organization. In addition, he indicated that discipline crossing is the central tendency of science development. He wished the young scholars from the three universities can strengthen the communication and cooperation, and achieve more results.
