Research Seminar of Prof. Prashant Kamat from University of Notre Dame
Editor-in-Chief of ACS Energy LettersProf. Prashant Kamatvisited Nanjing Tech University and delivered a research seminar in C501, National Science Park of Nanjing Tech University. The deputy-dean of Institute of Advanced Materials Prof. Huo Fengwei, staff and students attended the lecture.
The lecture contains two topics. One is entitled "Insight into the Operation of Perovskite Solar Cells", the other is entitled "How to Make Your Next Paper Scientifically Effective". Prof. Prashant Kamat introduced the excited state behavior and charge separation events of mixed halide lead perovkites and the photovoltaic performance of perovskite solar cells with varying degree of halide treatment. For the second topic, he addressed common practices in publishing scientific work, common misconceptions, and the key steps that are necessary to compose an effective paper.
Prashant V. Kamat is Professor of Science in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and Radiation Laboratory at University of Notre Dame. Professor Kamat has for nearly three decades worked to build bridges between physical chemistry and material science to develop advanced nanomaterials that promise cleaner and more efficient light energy conversion. He is also serving as the Editor-in-Chief of ACS Energy Letters and the deputy editor of theJournal of Physical Chemistry Letters.
