On the morning of 17^th, Oct, Mr. Cao Weixing, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province met with Professor Donal Bradley, Fellow of Royal Society and Vice-Provost of Imperial College London. Mr. Ding Xiaochang, Deputy Director-general of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Academician Huang Wei, president of NanjingTech, Prof. Gong Jianming, vice president of NanjingTech, Prof. He Xuejun, Assistant President and Prof. Jing Su, Deputy Director of International Relations Office were also present.

Mr. Cao extended warm welcome to Prof. Donal Bradley and made a brief introduction of economic and educational development of Jiangsu Province. He said Jiangsu Province had always attached great importance to the development of higher education and encouraged universities to cooperate with overseas universities. Mr. Cao pointed out that Nanjing Tech University was a famous university in China with high ranking in Jiangsu Province and had made outstanding achievements in international cooperation. He hoped the cooperation between NanjingTech and ICL would yield more fruitful results and he would continue to support the construction of Joint Research Center of Plastic Electronics between NanjingTech and ICL.

Professor Donal Bradley expressed his gratitude for Mr. Cao's warm reception. He said the establishment of Joint Research Center of Plastic Electronics between NanjingTech and ICL could have been impossible without the support from Jiangsu Provincial Government. He was satisfied with the substantive progress with NanjingTech during his visit and was deeply impressed and inspired by the research team led by Prof. Huang Wei and he came up with many new ideas through his interaction with NanjingTech researchers. He would further facilitate the cooperation between two universities and promote the development of plastic electronics together with NanjingTech. Prof. Bradley highly praised Academician and President Huang Wei who chose to enter Nanjing Tech University and declined invitations from more famed universities such as Peking University and Tsinghua University. This choice might seem incomprehensible to some but this was the special charm of Prof. Huang Wei who had great ambitions to re-mould NanjingTech into a comprehensive, research-oriented and globalized university.

Academician and President Huang Wei expressed gratitude for the guidance and support of Jiangsu Provincial Government and reported the progress NanjingTech had made with Imperial College. He said that NanjingTech-ICLJoint Research Center of PlasticElectronics Joint was part of the initiatives of NanjingTech's global synergetic innovation strategy. In the future, NanjingTech would endeavor to construct studios for overseas academic masters, support multinational innovation team and cultivate technology innovation talents in order to play a leading role in the research frontier in the world.
