IAM Sparkling Lecture II: Prof.Okubo Masayoshivisited

Prof. Okubo Masayoshi, invited by Academician and President Huang Wei, visited Nanjing Tech University and delivered an academic lecture for the second IAM Sparkling Lecture on 17^thMarch, 2016. The seminar was held by Prof. Liu Xiang. Vice-Dean of Buffer Base for Overseas Talents (Institute of Advanced Materials, IAM) Huo Fengwei and deputy party secretary Liu Juqing attended the seminar.

Prof. Okubo was conferred as the Honorary Professor of Kobe University and is the vice president of the Society of Polymer Science, Japan. He mainly worked on the research and application of functional polymer colloidal particles. He has achieved outstanding results in researching on radical polymerization in aqueous and supercritical CO2 dispersed systems, controlled/living radical polymerization in aqueous and supercritical CO2 dispersed systems and synthesis of functional polymer particles and their applications.

During the IAM Sparkling Lecture, Prof. Okubo introduced his scientific research results for years and theexperience incooperating with Chinese scientists, entitled "How Have We Enjoyed the Research on Synthesize Functional Polymer Particles: Change in Thinking, Serendipity and Challenge". He left a deep impression on attendees due to his sense of humor.
