The 5th International Symposium on Optoelectronics, Materials and Energy (iSOME-2021), sponsored by Institute of Advanced Materials (IAM), was solemn held in Nanjing Tech University in December 17-20, 2021. There are more than 100 experts scholars from universities and institutes in America, England, Australia, Singapore, Janpan, Sweden, China attended the symposium and delivered wonderful invited talks.

The international symposium focused on renewable energy, flexible biological diagnosis and treatment, micro/nano structure engineering, semiconductor optoelectronic devices and other research areas. The participants fully exchanged research progress, summarized the forward-looking development direction, and actively collided with ideological sparks. The highlights of the report were frequent and colorful.

As reported, the series conference of iSOME were initiated by Academician Huang Wei, the discipline leader of IAM, and are held every 2 years. It aims at strengthen the cooperation and communication of young scholars in the field and further promote the development of related discipline.
