Research Activity
Professor Graham SANDFORD's research interests lie in the broad field of organofluorine chemistry and, in particular, include:-(1) Elemental Fluorine as a Reagent for Organic Synthesis; (2) Perfluoro-heterocyclic Chemistry; (3) Free Radical chemistry of Unsaturated Fluorocarbons; (4) Carbanion chemistry. Currently, my research group consists of 5 Postgraduate Students, 2 Master’s students and 1 PDRA, funded from industry from both the UK and overseas [Asahi Glass Co. (Japan), GlaxoSmithKline (UK), the SONY Corporation (MSL, Germany), International Paint, Pfizer and the European Union.
He published over 130 papers and applied 14 patents.
