2013年5月30日,应材料化学工程国家重点实验室的邀请,新加坡国立大学副教授姜建文首次来到我们学校,在重点实验室A506报告厅为学院师生作了一场题为“Molecular Insights into Energy, Environmental and Pharmaceutical Applications in Metal-Organic Frameworks”的精彩学术报告。报告会由任小明教授主持,相关研究领域的老师和学生参加了报告会。
姜建文教授的报告主要从MOFs(Metal-Organic Frameworks)材料在气相和液相方面的应用展开:二氧化碳的吸附(CO2 adsorption)、水分离纯化(H2O purification)、药物传送(drug delivery),从分子模拟视角介绍了不同MOFs材料的拓扑结构、孔道大小、孔道内基团的差异性,既而针对这些微小差异,将MOFs材料应用于上述不同领域。在介绍MOFs材料对于CO2的吸附应用时,主要提到了bottom-up strategies,functionalized MOFs和Ionic MOFs等方法来增强和改进MOFs结构,增加对CO2的吸附性能。此外姜教授还介绍了分子模拟对MOFs材料的性能的预测,以及对其骨架结构设计的重要性,因为这些理论模拟能够指导我们的实验,更高效率地优化出最合理的实验方案。
报告最后的提问阶段,在场的师生结合自己的研究课题,向姜教授提出科研上的疑问,姜教授与在场师生热情互动,积极、耐心地回答广大师生的提问。报告博得了大家的热烈掌声。
附:Jianwen JIANG is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore. His research is focused on molecular simulation and modeling for solid-state materials and complex fluids such as nanomaterials, polymers, and biomolecules. His current research activities include the molecular engineering of nanoporous and membrane materials for energy, environmental and pharmaceutical applications including carbon capture, water treatment, drug delivery, etc. He has published over 140 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and contributed several book chapters and review articles. He is in the editorial board of Advances in Materials Research, International Scholarly Research Network (ISRN) Nanotechnology, Journal of Chemical Engineering and Process Technology.
