Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Finance and the Department of Education jointly issued a notice that the Mathematics and Applied Mathematics (Financial Mathematics) of NanjingTech has been selected as a high level demonstration project of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools in Jiangsu. This is our third high level demonstration project, which marks our teaching management and teaching quality in Sino-foreign cooperation is highly recognized by the government and the society.

In order to strengthen the connotation construction of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools, and promote the overall level of running universities, Jiangsu started the high level demonstration project construction of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools in 2016. Our Chemistry and Mechanical Engineering were selected into the first group of high level projects. At the beginning of this year, the Provincial Education Department launched the second round of high level demonstration project selection. The COE attaches great importance to the application and carefully organized the preparation works. Our Mathematics and Applied Mathematics (Financial Mathematics) obtains high degree of affirmation of the expert group in the review with greater advantage.

The "3+1" Mathematics and Applied Mathematics (Financial Mathematics) began to recruit students since 2012, so far two sessions of students have graduated. Under the support of administrative offices and the collaboration with the College of Mathematical Sciences, the COE always put the quality of construction in the first place with strict management, scientific organization of teaching, and constant improvement of the training programs and teaching contents, and the training quality is highly recognized by students and parents. So far, nearly 80% students have got the opportunity to study in the University of Sheffield, 70% of them have successfully applied for the top 50 universities in the world to continue their study for master's degree.
