From Oct. 17^thto 20^th, the 2019 China Annual Conference for International Education & Expo (CACIE) was held in China National Convention Center (CNCC) in Beijing. Mr. CHEN Baosheng, Minister of Education, delivered a speech in the conference. Prof. NIU Shengjie (Vice President of NanjingTech) and representatives from College of Overseas Education (COE) attended the conference.

During the conference, the result of quality certification of study in China was released. NanjingTech passed all the assessments and became one of the first batch of 22 colleges that passed the certification.

Quality certification of study in China was organized by China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), which was entrusted by Ministry of Education (MOE) as a third-party evaluation organization. The certification is designed to establish and improve the quality assurance system and help build the brand of "Study in China". In 2019, 33 universities joined the certification and 22 of them passed.

NanjingTech attaches great importance to the certification. It set up a team specially for the certification, with Prof. QIAO Xu (President of NanjingTech) as the team leader and started self-evaluation. With the support of administrative departments and colleges, COE comprehensively analyzed and summarized the cultivation of international students from the aspects of guiding concept, conditions, cultivation, management, service for international students and outcomes and finished the report in about half a year. From Jun. 3^rdto 4^th, a group of experts conducted a on-site investigation on the campus and spoke highly of the features and outcomes of study-in-China course in NanjingTech.

COE will make full use of this opportunity and try to win more support so as to improve the quality of study in NanjingTech for international students and the management and service system. It aims to raise the profile of international student cultivation in NanjingTech and contribute to the course of building NanjingTech into an entrepreneurial university with reputations at home and abroad.
