On the afternoon of Nov 6^th, NanjingTech held a theme course on fire safety for the international students of 2019. The course was delivered by ZHAO Jie (Officer, Fire Station of Nanjing High-Tech Development Area) and hosted by staff from Campus Safety. Over 120 freshmen and staff attended the course.

The course included fire safety theory lecture and how to use fire extinguisher. Officer ZHAO introduced the danger of fire, how to prevent and ways to put out fire with specific cases happened in university campus in recent years. He emphasized on the importance of calling police when there is fire and how to save oneself in dormitory. He also pointed out the precautions such as no use of fire, turning off the electrical appliance and keeping the doorway clear. After the indoor lecture, staff from Campus Safety taught the students how to use fire extinguisher.

This course enhanced the sense of fire safety of international students and helped them learn basic skills so that they can protect themselves and help build a safe campus for everyone.
