Bachelor International Chinese Education

Cultivation Plan of International Chinese Education Program for International Students

I. Cultivation Goals

1. Have a correct outlook on life, worldview and values.

2. Be able to teach basic Chinese as a foreign language or communicate Chinese culture in various types of educational institutions or media organizations.

3. Be able to engage in transnational, cross-cultural, high-level foreign affairs activities.

4. Have a strong sense of innovation and entrepreneurship, reserve and accumulate relevant professional knowledge and ability.

5. Have the ability to pursue further study and research work in linguistics, literature or related disciplines in greater depth.

6. Have a passion for the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation, good humanistic and scientific literacy, high aesthetic taste, and mental and physical health.

7. Have a solid grasp of relevant knowledge in the subject area of Chinese language and literature, such as language knowledge, text knowledge, and knowledge of Chinese literary history.Have a good grasp of the basic theory and knowledge in the field of English linguistics and literature.

8. Have a firm grasp of the basic theory and knowledge of international Chinese education and teaching, as well as the theory and knowledge of teaching listening, speaking, reading, and writing in the international teaching of Chinese language.

9. Have strong ability of writing, oral expression and communication in Chinese, and be able to reach the HSK Level 5 and obtain 210 scores in the Chinese Proficiency Test.

IV. Basic Requirements for Graduation and Requirements for Degree Awarding

Basic requirements for graduation:Students will be allowed to graduate after completing the content prescribed the education and teaching plan with qualified results, and meeting the minimum graduation requirement of 120 credits within the flexible study period.

Requirements for degree awarding:Graduates of this major who meet the relevant provisions of the Detailed Rules for the Implementation of Awarding the Bachelor's Degree of Nanjing Tech University and score 210 or above in HSK Level 5 will be awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree.
