In order to normalize the management on the teaching of the University's foreign undergraduate students (hereinafter referred to as "Foreign Students"), give full play to the positive role of credit system management, and raise the training quality of Foreign Students, the Regulations are here specially formulated.
Article 1Major courses to be completed by Foreign Students before graduation and their scores are determined in the major specialty training plan. Courses of the minor and dual-degree specialties that must be completed by Foreign Students are determined in the minor specialty training plan.
Article 2Foreign Students completing the courses with total score of equal to or higher than 60 or "Pass" and higher grade may obtain corresponding credit points. Foreign Students failing to complete courses, or completing courses with total score of less than 60 or "Fail" will not obtain credit points. Foreign Students shall obtain credit points of 9-28 for the courses studied in each semester; if the accumulative credit points of the courses selected are more than 28, Foreign Students shall file an application when selecting courses, and obtain the approval of the professional colleges before studying relevant courses.
Article 3The University will carry out academic year registration according to the credit points obtained by Foreign Students. The Foreign Students who fail to meet graduation requirements upon the expiration date of schooling will obtain a certificate of completion.
Article 4The University executes a four-point system for grade point average (GPA). The corresponding relationship between the total mark in the formal examination or reexamination of a course and GPA is as shown below:

Article 5The University has established the academic achievement management system for foreign students. The results of formal examination, make-up examination, and restudy of courses will all be recorded in the report card of the Foreign Students. The results of formal examination and restudy will be recorded according to facts. Results of make-up examinations will be recorded as 60 if being not lower than 60 or above "Pass", with GPA recorded as 1.0, and will be recorded according to facts if being lower than 60 or "Fail", with GPA recorded as 0. Foreign Students who fail to pass the examinations of the courses studied for the first time may participate in the make-up examination for once. The Foreign Students failing to pass make-up examination may apply for restudy personally in writing, and shall pay the expenses for restudy according to regulations. The Foreign Students who fail in the restudy shall not participate in the makeup examination.
Article 6The accumulative GPA is the "Sum of the credit points of the courses studied by Foreign Students after being admitted to the University multiplied by the GPA" divided by the "Sum of the credit points of courses studied". The calculation formula is as shown below:

The value retains two decimal points, and the third digit will be rounded out.
Article 7Accumulative GPA shall be calculated as per the results of formal examination, make-up examination and restudy examination, whichever is the highest.
Article 8The University will collect corresponding tuition fee according to the charge standard examined and determined by the price department regarding the credit points of the courses selected by students. For the detailed regulations, please refer to the Administrative Measures for Credit System Charging of Nanjing Tech University.
Article 9The Regulations are applicable to the University's all Foreign Students.
Article 10The Regulations shall be implemented since the date of issuance.
